Shahai is a hidden gem on the island! It’s my favorite place to go for local food & the prices are great too. Their BBQ on Sundays is fantastic and I can also highly recommend their galinja stoba (chicken stew) and beef with peanut sauce.

Are you hungry, willing to grab a bite from local kitchen. Than this is the place. They sell lunch and in the evening you can buy burgers, etc. It has a ice cream parlor next to it and you also buy lottery tickets. You can sit here or take it away.

Prices are reasonable, the place is clean, staff not too pleasant but efficient.

Good food, creole, and they are famous for what they call...sacos..chicken with potatoes and fried plantain and a big Johnny cake bread, or ribs or a combination, served in a paper bag...a paper bag is called...Saco.
